YOUR RECIPES...

Grapefruit spritz

gin // prosecco // grapefruit juice // soda water

This is a fresh and zingy cocktail that is perfect for drinking in the sun. It goes hand in hand with a BBQ. It's refreshing, fizzy and has the taste of grapefruit running through it. Summer is upon us.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN OPENING THE PROSECCO - POINT IT AWAY FROM YOUR FACE, IT MAY HAVE BEEN SHAKEN AROUND IN THE BOXES!

If you are using your box to make 12 cocktails, you'll need 25ml of gin, 50ml of grapefruit juice, 50ml of prosecco and 25ml of soda water. If you want to make 6 stronger cocktails, I would recommend upping to 50ml of gin. This one works well as a single measure though, as you already have the extra hit of prosecco.

  1. Add 25ml of gin to your jam jar.

  2. Fill the jar with ice. You want this to be to the top of the jam, but so that you can also get the lid on.

  3. Add 50ml of grapefruit juice.

  4. Put the lid on and give it a good shake.

  5. Top with 50ml of prosecco

  6. Top with 25ml of soda water. Get a spoon and give it a gentle mix, you'll see the grapefruit rise up through the drink.

  7. Put a straw in and enjoy. Recommendation: Drink this one in the sun.

Cuba Libre

bacardi blanca Rum // coke cola  // fresh lime

This is a really simple cocktail, but the mixture of fresh lime and white rum is a real winner. I don't use regular coke with this one, I find that it makes the drink a little too sweet and the coke flavour over powers the rum. If you were to double up on one of the cocktails, this would be it.

If you are using your box to make 12 cocktails, you'll need 25ml of rum, 100ml of Coke Cola and a quarter of a fresh lime. If you want to make 6 stronger cocktails, I would recommend upping to 50ml of rum and just adding another 25ml of Coke. It's a taste preference, you're the creator, so just see how you go!

  1. Add 25ml of rum to your jam jar.

  2. Add a quarter of a lime, giving it a good squeeze as you drop it into the jar.

  3. Fill the jar with ice. You want this to be to the top of the jam, but so that you can also get the lid on.

  4. Put the lid on and give it a good shake! We want to get the lime and rum well mixed and nice and cold.

  5. Top your jam jar with 100ml of Coke.

  6. Put a straw in and enjoy.

Screwdriver

vodka // underberg herbal bitter // orange juice // fresh orange

This is a classic cocktail, with a jam jar take on it. I really like the floral notes of herbal bitters, they add a new dimension to the drink. They are powerful though, so easy as you go!

If you are using your box to make 12 cocktails, you'll need 25ml of vodka, 100ml of orange juice, a drop of herbal bitter and a wedge of fresh orange. If you want to make 6 stronger cocktails, I would recommend upping to 50ml of vodka. It's a taste preference, you're the creator, so just see how you go!

  1. Add 25ml of vodka to your jam jar.

  2. Fill the jar with ice. You want this to be to the top of the jam, but so that you can also get the lid on.

  3. Add 100ml of orange juice.

  4. This is where you add the bitters. You literally need a drop of it to get the taste. Remember, you can always add more after you've tasted it, but you can't take it away!

  5. Put the lid on and give it a good shake!

  6. Give it a little taste and see if you fancy adding more bitters to it.

  7. You can add a piece of orange to the top for decoration.

  8. Put a straw in and enjoy.
